ACME Fine Art's next exhibition is designed to explore the influences of some of the twentieth century's most important artists/ teachers on the work of artists who studied with them. The show- titled TEACHERS & STUDENTS - will open with a reception on Thursday 18 November 6:00-8:00 p.m. and will run through 23 December 2004.

Paintings and drawings by more than a dozen artists will be spotlighted in this stylistically diverse exhibition that covers a time-span from the mid-1910s through September 2004. The show will be organized to feature the work of some of America's most influential teachers alongside that of some of their prominent students. Artists whose work will be featured include Charles Webster Hawthorne with Houghton Cranford Smith, Edwin Dickinson/ Philip Malicoat, Blanche Lazzell/ Grace Martin Taylor, Hans Hofmann/ Lillian Orlowsky, E. Ambrose Webster/ Kenneth Stubbs, Vaclav Vytlacil/ Lois Smiley, George McNeil/ Adele Travisano, Wil Barnet/ Jim Forsberg, and Jack Tworkov with Dorothy Eisner.

ACME Fine Art and Design is located at 38 Newbury Street, Boston, Massachusetts, 02116. The gallery is open 10:30 to 5:30 Tuesday through Friday, 11:00 to 5:00 on Saturdays, and other times by appointment.
